Nou Systems, Inc. Software Test Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama

We are pleased to announce the contingent opening for a Software Test Engineer, who will join our software development team in Huntsville, AL and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. You will be part of a team known for innovative web applications and solutions to support simulation environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute test plans and test cases to identify software defects and ensure product quality.

  • Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and debug issues found during testing.

  • Perform various types of testing, such as functional, regression, performance, and usability testing.

  • Document and report defects, as well as track and verify their resolution.

  • Continuously improve and refine our testing processes and procedures.

  • Work closely with the development team to understand new features and provide feedback on potential areas of improvement.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in software testing and quality assurance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • You must have a Bachelor’s degree or higher Computer Science or Software Development, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • You will need 3+ years of full-time professional experience working in Software Testing

  • You must possess or can obtain an active Secret or Top Secret clearance.

  • You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and practices

  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress

  • Familiarity with programming languages and development tools, such as Java, Python, and Typescript

  • Thorough understanding of source control using Git, TFS, etc

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
