We are seeking a Software Engineer that specializes and has a strong desire to work with artificial intelligence (AI)-based technologies, including machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) applications. In this role, you will contribute to new software development, both applications and algorithms, leveraging CPU, GPU, and the Cloud. This opportunity will involve data processing, including discrete, natural language processing, computer vision, as well as "nD" multidimensional datasets for INTUITIVE and/or its customer stakeholders. You will participate in the integration of open source, commercial, and/or INTUITIVE developed tools and frameworks that will solve complex problems that are suitable for AI-based solutions. You will help guide stakeholder understanding on the training of ML/DL algorithms, appropriate identification and selection of training sets, and the application of training algorithms to solve problems. You will help mentor data scientists and software engineers on best practices and emerging trends in AI and its use against data problems. You will be responsible for developing neural networks that focus on features in multidimensional datasets to determine correlations and relationships through feature detection. You will work with digital artists to help visualize the technical execution and results of your models to effectively communicate the information produced by your AI-based solution. Your role will also include optimization of models to leverage available hardware, both on-premise and in the cloud, to increase and enhance both training and inference tasks. You will work alongside other data scientists, digital engineers, and software engineers to design and develop algorithms, predictive models, and AI-driven software to identify trends and patterns in big data with opportunities to learn and grow in a driven, successful team. To accomplish this, you will need excellent communications skills and to embrace a highly motivated team environment. You will need strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills to accomplish tasks efficiently.

Required

• ABET accredited BS degree

• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++

• Familiarity with machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras

• Two (2) years of relevant AI engineering experience.

• Three (3) years of relevant software engineering experience.

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

• Occasional travel

• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance

Desired

• Experience with developing GPU-accelerated machine learning and deep learning software against applicable frameworks

• Experience with DoD or Army Defense programs

• Strong proficiency in Python
