This job was posted by https://joblink.alabama.gov : For more information, please see: https://joblink.alabama.gov/ada/r/jobs/2787012 Qualis Corporation is seeking a Senior Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to serve as a technical lead in RF engineering areas across DoD related systems, and be responsible and capable of solving major technical problems in a narrow specialty field or over a broad scope of specialties. The selected candidate will provide independent review, engineering analyses and provide recommendations and conclusions to customers.? The engineer selected for this position will be a design engineer with RF engineering skills. Must be a self-starter with experience working with inter-disciplinary teams to solve challenging technical problems. The engineer will work closely with hardware integrated into a diverse range of aerospace and military systems including unmanned ground/air vehicles, radars, and space systems. The RF Engineer will be expected to execute in a fast-paced team environment. The RF Engineer will work with other engineers, project managers, technicians and the customer to develop solutions. This may include troubleshooting board-level issues, assessing failures for root cause, and identifying corrective actions. The RF Engineer should be familiar with the design of power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, mixers, filters, signal synthesis, PIN diode switching, and analog-to-digital conversion and how to implement these hardware features in complex Radar, EA, and communications systems across several high frequency bands (L-band, S-band, C-band, X-band, Ku-band, Ka-band). The RF engineer will be support customer engagement with Huntsville based customers to include Missile Defense Agency, Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Army Materiel Command, US Army PEO Missiles and Space, US Army PEO Aviation, and NASA. This position is located in Huntsville, AL. Roles and Responsibilities


+ Provides technical engineering solutions and frequently serve as a technical authority.



+ Serve as a technical lead.



+ Provide individual technical effort in questions/issues of critical importance to customers.



+ Provide expert technical advice to customers to assist in making and implementing technical, programmatic and policy decisions.



+ Assist customers in employing technology in the development and deployment of major acquisition systems.



+ May be assigned technical guidance for several Task Orders with review for approval authority, for approach and results.



+ Support and perform business development activities.



Education and Experience Requirements


+ Bachelor's and advanced degrees in an engineering field required.



+ 10+ years related experience in engineering and technical management.



+ Demonstrated hands-on experience is required to assist with the design and build-out of architectures.?



+ Demonstrated leadership skills as evidenced by prior technical leadership roles.



+ Demonstrated experience in major systems acquisition.



+ Demonstrated experience in systems engineering process for hardware and software.



+ Effective communication and writing skills.



+ Must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret Security Clearance.
