Jacobs Senior Program Manager- Secret in Huntsville, Alabama

Your Impact:

Jacobs is hiring for a Sr. Program Manager to support our team in Huntsville, AL. You will be working in Department of Justice organization that’s mission is to accelerate operations through data and new analytical insights. The entire section works to provide the entire enterprise with tools and applications to assist with operational data discovery, data exploitation, data analytics, and data visualization tools. The section works closely with the entire enterprise to ensure its applications and tools meet or exceed the needs of the mission.

The Senior Program Manager will lead a program with over 140 FTEs with teams located in multiple locations. The program develops, maintains and improves multiple mission-critical applications located in the AWS Gov Cloud. The team is fully cloud-based and focuses on the automation of all tasks utilizing a CI/CD pipeline. This pipeline includes an automated transfer of data/projects to multiple domains via a cross-domain solution. The team utilizes agile methodologies to plan projects and tasks and break them down into 2-week sprints. The team is made up of cloud engineers and developers working closely together to complete projects. We are looking for senior managers that have a technical understanding of cloud technologies and services to support our customer and their multiple national security missions.

This senior manager will lead a team to accomplish requirements associated with agile development projects. The manager will be responsible for leading the team, planning tasks, communicating project status to the customer and ensure that projects are completed on time. They will possess the ability to manage, track and report on the accomplishments of the team.

This is an exciting opportunity for cleared talent with a Secret clearance to obtain a Top Secret clearance. Estimated time to complete the clearance sponsorship process is approximately 12-15 months. Once the Top Secret clearance is fully adjudicated and a position is available, the candidate will be eligible to work on the program.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • Minimum 20 years of experience performing complex functional project activities by providing management and supervision of multiple projects in software and systems engineering. Demonstrated experience in handling government contracts.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline

  • The ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure project success while maintaining alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex cloud development initiatives on time and within budget.

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and best practices.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.

  • Active PMP Certification
