What You Will Do :

Guidehouse is currently seeking a Network Project Manager (PM) to support a large-scale IT rollout project in Huntsville, AL. The purpose of this position is to provide multi-facetted project support and oversight for IT Infrastructure and Network Engineering efforts in a multi-disciplined campus environment. The PM will understand and develop the project(s) scope of work (SOW) and bring all the moving parts together to ensure a successful outcome. The first project will be a multi-year, network consolidation, initiative that replaces multiple disparate systems across three security classification domains. These systems will be consolidated into a transport architecture that utilized SDN separated only by classification. The general responsibilities of the Senior Network Project Manager are as follows, to include but not be limited to:

  • Understand and develop network planning, design, and initial implementation of the FBI’s new Enterprise Software Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) connecting Enterprise Software Defined Access (SDA) in all buildings in Huntsville, AL.

  • Part of network engineering project team to validate network design as per customer specifications including circuit protection, transport network selection, and interworking across networks.

  • Develop end-to-end project implementation schedules and keep on budget for each project; multiple across the Redstone Arsenal (RSA).

  • Balance prioritization, timelines, and potential risk factors that may impact project success.

  • Coordinate with team to procure, and/or, repurpose necessary SDN equipment.

  • Coordinate with local site, Network Engineers, ETs and IT Integrator to coordinate installation and technician access.

  • Provide PM support during the implementation and turn up of new network nodes and related connections.

  • Coordinate with a wide variety of project teams that are passionate about different aspects of network infrastructure and keeping them on task to meet deadlines.

  • Partner with the information security personnel to assess potential exposure to vulnerabilities, identify mitigation plans, and ensure compliance with enterprise security baselines and standards.

  • Evaluate modern technologies to optimize network efficiency and review/provide recommendations to improve the network.

  • Inform management in a clear, concise, and timely manner of any customer or technical issues.

  • Be responsive and decisive on adjusting network implementation plans as customer requirements and technology evolves.

What You Will Need :

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET federal security clearance

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Minimum of 5 years experience with Cisco SDN design and deployments

  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams to accomplish desired outcomes, on schedule, and within budget.

What Would Be Nice To Have :

  • 10 years’ experience leading enterprise scale network initiatives; planning, managing, and implementing complex networking projects

  • Cisco Certifications (Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE))

  • Project management Institute (PMI) - Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Experience in implementing Enterprise networks within the federal intelligence community

  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with attention to detail

  • Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment

  • Experience managing projects utilizing the SAFe Agile and Tailored Waterfall project management methodology.
