Job Descriptions:

5-D Systems, a KRATOS Company, is a growing defense contractor headquartered in Round Rock, TX with over twenty years’ experience providing systems and software engineering for Unmanned Aircraft Systems and Systems Engineering Technical Support to Government Program Offices.

5-D Systems, a KRATOS Company, is seeking a highly motivated candidate in support of our customer located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, who will serve as a Senior Data Analyst supporting the IFMC AMD Mission Command Product Office, a government program office addressing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, with focus on Mission Command systems. The candidate will serve as a Senior Data Analyst and Power App Developer for a government project office addressing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, with focus on Mission Command systems.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with operations, business management analysts, and other directorates to build data analytics outputs and knowledge management components for an Army Project Office

  • Using a variety of platforms, tools, and financial management systems to create a data analytics environment, using Power BI, for use across all levels of the Project Office

  • Responsible for the end-to-end process of gathering initial requirements, data source capture, and data modeling to develop Power BI Reports with advanced data visualizations.

  • Administrating, maintaining, and sustaining the Power BI-based environment hosted by the Army

  • Analyzing existing business processes, information workflow, data storage, and control procedures to identify opportunities for increased efficiencies and process improvement

  • Creating Power Apps to optimize staffing and other internal operational processes within the Project Office, as well as creating SharePoint interfacing and automation solutions by designing, developing, and maintaining custom SharePoint forms, lists, workflows, repositories, and web parts

Required Experience:

  • US Citizenship

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance

  • Resident of the Huntsville, Alabama area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area

  • Bachelor’s degree in in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Data Science, or related field/equivalent experience with minimum three years related experience

  • Proven experience working with Microsoft Power BI or other data model and dashboard design software and implementation with data visualization best practices

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal team and customers within a video conferencing environment such as Microsoft Teams

  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and complete multiple projects

  • A high degree of skill with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Publisher)

  • Experience as a SharePoint Developer with training in access control

  • The ability to work with minimum guidance in addressing actions, and then use knowledge, ingenuity, innovation and experience to complete the product

  • Excellent communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to take direction well and function independently

  • Enthusiasm for working with and supporting a team

  • JavaScript and/or JSON experience preferred

  • Experience in HTML/CSS and CMS tools preferred
