[IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Avionics Engineer in Huntsville, AL [to support our customer at Redstone Arsenal, AL in the Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) program office.   • Communicate through strong oral and written communication methods, work effectively with others, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of DO-178 design and development processes.
  • Understand and experience with Open System Architectures.
  • Serve as communication, navigation, surveillance, and interoperability (CNSandI) subject matter expert engineer support for aircraft integration.
  • Understand the process for Air Traffic Control Radar Beacon System IFF Mark XII Systems (AIMS), Army Interoperability Certification (AIC), and Joint Interoperability Certification (JIC) certifications.
  • Experience coordinating communication, navigation, surveillance, and interoperability (CNSandI) integration.
  • Review program CDRLs and provide recommendation for approval/disapproval as well as write approval/disapproval memos for avionic associated CDRLs.
  • Support program IPTs with avionics engineering support.
  • Function as technical SME for CNSandI integration issues.
  • Manage requirements from identification through fielding for avionics.
  • Lead technical identification and implementation of avionics development and integration with OEM.
  • Manage CNSandI obsolescence issues.
  • Coordinate integration assets and funding from OGAs.
  • Coordinate/manage SME support from AMSA, ASE, and Air Warrior PDs for platform integration.
  • Provide engineering support for program Tech Data Package (TDP).
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
