What You Will Do :
As a Guidehouse Security Specialist you will support a major federal client in Huntsville, Alabama; Washington, DC; Quantico, Virginia; and Clarksburg, West Virginia. This opportunity has been established to execute a variety of Security functions to support our Nation’s Security. The multi year effort requires the expertise in security operations to ensure the facilities are monitored, secured and operated to specific standards in support our National Security client. This opportunity is one where you can work directly with our experts from around the world to support the mission. We partner with the client to ensure all aspects of the requirements are met. A typical day for the Guidehouse Security Specialists the right balance of advising the client of security planning, supervising a team of security professionals, and executing daily operational functions.
Leading a team of Security Specialist:
Plans, organizes, directs, and supports all activities identified in the Task Order
Monitors employee performance and productivity
Develops and implements training programs and remedial actions as necessary
Responsible for formulating and enforcing work standards
Assigns and manages Contractor schedules; reviews work discrepancies
Supervising Contractor personnel
Assisting in all project management task performance
Preparing, reviewing and submitting required reports and communicating policies, purpose and goals of the organization to subordinates; and
Shall be responsible for the overall performance and quality assurance at designated duty station
Continuously communicate with Government Program Manager as to status of contractor personnel and work products
Executing Security Duties:
Monitoring Access Control, Intrusion Detection and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) Systems
Dispatching Guard Force to Incidents and Alarm Activations
Review and Prepare Documentation, daily blotter, incident report documentation
Conducts Access Control Duties Into the Redstone Operations Center.
Receives incoming and redirects telephone calls
Maintains building Standard Form-700, Security Container
Maintains Building Emergency Point of Contact lists
Monitors Facility Systems and Reports Issues to Facility Points of Contact
Operates the Stationary and Mobile Radio System
Follows Procedures in Accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
Central Command Post for All Security Related Actions Taken During Emergency and Non-Emergency Situations inside the facilities
Makes Appropriate Notifications during Day-To-Day Operations, Alarm Activations and Emergency Situations
Conducts perimeter security checks and Crisis Alert responses for all campus buildings
Operate active vehicle barrier systems, as appropriate.
What You Will Need:
Ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET federal security clearance.
High school diploma, or equivalent.
Five (5) or more years of experience working in a security function directly related to the discipline required.
What Would Be Nice To Have :
An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET federal security clearance
Bachelor’s degree in any field of study is preferred, advanced degrees desired
Technical training or expertise may be required for certain disciplines.
