Aviation & Missile Solutions Radar Systems Engineer - Entry Level in Huntsville, Alabama

Job Descriptions:

Aviation & Missile Solutions, LLC (AMS) is seeking talented Engineers and Analysts to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, AMS provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The Engineer or Analyst in this role will support Radar Technology programs including modeling, simulation, and analysis; hardware and software prototyping; and development, integration and testing of surveillance and fire control radars, RF seekers, and RF datalinks.

Required Experience:

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited university with a 3.5 GPA or higher. Candidate must have excellent math skills and/or possess and show good fundamentals in electromagnetics, signals and systems, digital signal processing, and controls. Candidate must be able to apply these skills to the following areas: modeling, radar/weapons systems analysis, algorithm development, RF hardware, HWIL support, and/or field testing support.

Modeling includes modeling of radar functions, threats, timeline, weapon system, clutter, EA/EP, etc. Radar/weapons systems analysis includes probability of detection, waveform analysis, probability of intercept, defended area, etc. Algorithm development includes detection processes, waveform selection, signal processing, clutter and EA mitigation, adaptive beamforming, target identification, etc. RF hardware includes transmitters, exciters, antennas, multi-channel receivers, high-bandwidth receivers, SOTA processors, and RF lab equipment development and integration, and software development and test. Field test support includes travel, radar equipment setup and teardown, and light lifting (up to 30 or 40 lbs.). Candidate must be able to comfortably interact with and present to customers, coworkers and management on a regular basis.

Experience with MATLAB is a plus. Candidate must have good people skills and the desire to work with a highly technical team of engineers and scientists.

Candidate must be a US-only Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
