Radiance Technologies, Inc. Radar Computer Engineer HR100789 in Huntsville, Alabama

Radiance is seeking a highly qualified and motivated engineer or scientist to serve as a Radar Computer Engineer on foreign air defense radar systems in support of Integrated Technical Evaluation and Analysis of Multiple Sources (ITEAMS) projects. The candidate will lead or support the ITEAMS Computer Subgroup to develop a comprehensive, scientific and technical intelligence understanding, assessment, and design of the foreign radars computer, waveform generator, and algorithms associated with resource management, emission timing, response latency, prioritization, beam packing and location, turret control, duty cycle constraints, and mode transitions. The assessment and design will include:

The computer processing power and memory required to run the software algorithms within the limitations of available computer hardware

Computer hardware and software to include technical specifications

The computer algorithms functions and implementations

The waveform generator characteristics and performance consistent with the observed waveform emissions, operational modes, and potential wartime reserve waveforms

The candidate will ensure that the overall assessment and design are consistent with the design philosophy of the foreign designers and comparable and consistent with the assessed radar computer hardware technology during the radars development timeframe.

Required Skills

Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant technical field

US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with CI poly

Able to perform exploratory analysis and research, and present results to both technical and non-technical audiences

Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate successfully with other internal and external stakeholders

Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to succinctly describe complex technical scenarios in simple, easily understood terms

Strong analytic, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills

Required Experience

Three or more years experience with radar systems

Previous experience characterizing radar systems based on incomplete information

Experience with or extensive knowledge of radar computer design, modeling, and custom computer hardware/software components of modern radar systems

Desired Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly

Previous ITEAMS experience

Experience supporting US Government SandTI Centers
