SMX is hiring a Project Manager Executive Officer for the Project Manager (PM) of an ACAT I US Army developmental program. This is a hybrid position based at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

As the Executive Officer, you will interface hourly with the program's senior leadership, providing guidance, advice and recommendations for the PM's schedules, itineraries, workflow, meetings, and other activities. The Executive Officer will work side-by-side other program front office employees to ensure smooth and efficient office functions and activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining leadership's calendars and schedules

  • Interfacing/coordinating with program's senior leaders and employees to further the PM's goals and objectives

  • Planning/scheduling meetings and itineraries, to include CONUS and OCONUS travel

  • Reviewing staff products, briefings, and documents prior to submission to the PM

  • Front office management

  • Represent the PM in interfacing/coordination with subordinates', external stakeholders' and senior Army leaderships' support staff

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Clearance Required: Secret

  • 3-12 years of administrative assistant, or similar, experience

  • Familiarity with utilizing the Defense Travel System

  • MS Office proficiency

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team

  • Self-starter who recognizes required tasks and accomplishes them with little or no guidance and supervision

  • Ability to self-teach/learn based on the tasks at hand

  • Mature problem solving skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an Army Project/Product office

  • Former Executive Officer/Aide responsibilities in the US military

  • Program integration experience
