Position Title:

Operations Manager Senior Manager- Planning Operations -Contingent on proposal award

Overview:

Oversees and coordinates the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Location for this role will be in Huntsville, Alabama and report to the Program Manager

Job Description:

• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients Supervises and integrates the performance of the program Integrated Product Teams

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in STEM related discipline

• Minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience

• Field Operations Supervision 10 years of Defense and Technical

• Threat and Target Design 3 years of general experience

• Defense Test: 5 years of related Test Event or program experience

• Defense Training: 5 years of General Experience

Desired Qualifications:

• Expert Knowledge of Defense Test and Training Operations

• Proved Supervisory and Leadership Experience

Requirements:

TOP SECRET Security Clearance

Skills:

• Requires deep knowledge of job area. Typically viewed as having a specialty within discipline. May have broad knowledge of project management.

Physical Requirements:

Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

Visual Activity:

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.

Working Conditions:

The worker is primarily in an office environment. Programs will require travel to and working in outside environments at government locations from hot and dry to cold and humid. PPE required to mitigate environmental and safety hazards.
