What You’ll Do

This summer embark on a journey of professional growth and discovery. Our internship program is designed for high school students passionate about STEM. You will gain hands-on experience in a real-world setting, working alongside our team on various projects that drive our company forward.

More specifically, KBR is seeking a qualified High School Intern for a KBR Multi-Disciplined Internship position in support of Test and Evaluation (T&E). This position will involve supporting KBR’s DoD customers at in the areas of DoD Operational T&E and Intelligence. The internship supports the fostering of an agile and enduring T&E enterprise workforce.

As a National Security Solutions Intern, you will:

  • Participate in technical projects, including software development, coding, and technical research.

  • Assist in the development and execution of administrative tasks and operational planning, such as meeting coordination and project scheduling.

  • Collaborate with and interview team members across multiple areas of focus to support project goals and learn about different aspects of the business and technologies being researched.

  • Attend workshops and meetings to enhance professional skills and technical knowledge.

    Provide an end of term report and presentation to include a description and results of key activities performed and lessons learned.

    Selected interns for this paid opportunity will be provided with the opportunity to mentor with experienced professionals, gain experience and establish a name for themselves in this high demand career field.

    Anticipated Skill Set:

  • Currently enrolled in a high school with a strong academic standing.

  • Demonstrated interest in STEM fields through coursework, projects, or extracurricular activities.

  • Basic understanding of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) is preferred but not required.

  • Basic understanding of data processing and visualization and developing data dashboards (e.g., Power BI) is preferred but not required.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, eager to learn, and ready to contribute in a fast-paced environment.

    Scheduled Weekly Hours: Average 30-40 hours per week.

Requirement:

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Must pass a Security Pre-Screen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
