Serco, Inc. Logistics Management Specialist SME in Huntsville, Alabama
Serco has a great opportunity for you to take a leadership role in supporting the Army Sustainment Command in Huntsville, Alabama . Join an integrated government-industry team insupport of multiple program functions for Army Sustainment Command (ASC) Authorized Stockage Lists (ASL) and Shop Stock (SS) determination mission and supported areas with a wide range of customer requirements in the Army supply systems and operations.Use your expertise and collaborative skills to positively impact our national defense and make a difference in the worlds greatest Army.
This position will require you to travel to the office in Huntsville, Alabama.
This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain/maintain/transfer a Secret clearance.
This position is contingent upon customer requirements and/or their approval.
In this role, you will:
Have knowledgeable of logistics database development and supply procedures including developing and documenting functional processing logic, programming specifications, data relationships, and functional testing.
Be fluent in Microsoft Office Suite of Tools and proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access.
have broad knowledge of Army, DoD, and other Agency organizational structure, logistics policy and processes. Possess ability in Identifying areas of programmatic deficiency and in making recommendations for enhancements.
Utilize your skills in preparing procedures, information papers, briefings and reports.
Produce reports and analyses which logically state the issues and reach conclusions which are supported by the data and analysis.
Perform Non-ERP Analysis to assist the development of ASL/SS recommendation packages, from the ground up, and augmentations to an ASL/SS in the theater of operation to support mission requirements.
Utilize of Decision Support Tools: that consists of but not limited to decision support tools within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solution, Logistics Data Analytics Center (LDAC), ASC Redstone Arsenal Detachment (LAN), and/or other DoD logistics systems, Oracle, TOAD,Procedural Language/Structured Query Language(PL/SQL), Statistical Analysis System (SAS), UNIX Operating System, Business Intelligence Suite of Tools or their replacements as determined necessary to.
Provide support to tasks which arrive on an as needed basis and based on the complexity of the analysis a suspense date is determined. Complete the tasker analysis by the suspense date, by the requesters instructions and provide results to the requestor for planning and or approval for implementation into GCSS-A or other location as directed.
Research and respond to daily calls and email correspondence.
Attend Meetings and Workshops as required.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
US Citizenship
High School Diploma and 10 years of experience in a related field.
or a Bachelors Degree and 8 years of experience in a related field.
An active Secret Security Clearance
Knowledge of GSCC Army, LMP, Decision Support Tools (DST) consisting of Oracle, Structured Query Language (SQL) Business Intelligence Suite of Tools and Microsoft Suite of Tools.
Advanced internal team communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
The ability to travel up to 10%
Additional desired experience and skills:
An advanced degree.
Previous government program office experience.
