Job Description:

L3Harris is looking for a Finance Sr. Specialist who is energetic and experienced with cash applications and aging to join the Aerojet Rocketdyne Segments finance team. We process high volumes of transactions and remittances to optimize cash flow through timely and accurate cash application. As part of our team, you will reconcile cash applications daily, perform collection processes, and post payments. You will create weekly and monthly reports for relevant stakeholders and management. Our ideal candidate is a motivated problem-solver who can collaborate effectively on larger teams and possesses accurate data entry skills and an eye for detail.

Essential Functions:

Cash Applications duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Optimize cash flow through timely and accurate cash application of customer payments.

  • Ensure payment application accuracy by identifying and resolving discrepancies at the time of payment posting.

  • Post and apply payments from various sources including ACH, EFT, and Wire receipts.

  • Create regular reports to accurately track financial information.

  • Assist with periodic audits requests from internal and external teams.

    Aging review duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and review the AR Aging and assist with the collection process.

  • Address payment issues such as over and under payments and other discrepancies.

  • Provide comments and achievable collection dates on the internal aging report.

  • Engage in collection management with external and internal customers.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant finance experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related finance experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related finance experience.

  • 2 years’ experience handling Cash Applications and/or Aging analysis.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of Customer Invoice Billing and Collection procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail, goal oriented.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel based reporting.

  • Commitment to excellent customer service.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
