Education:

High School Diploma/GED

Months/Years of Experience:

Five (5) years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or two (2) years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and three (3) years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements:

h. Instrumentation -

Experience must include successful completion of sixteen (16) weeks of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in electronics/instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.

Required Qualifications:

U.S. Citizen. Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance. Ability to learn test set functions and lift at a minimum 50 pounds required. Ability to utilize basic electronic skills to perform laboratory bench work such as soldering, wiring, and troubleshooting equipment and test setups using a schematic.

Desired Qualifications:

Intermediate understanding of the components (processor, motherboard, disk drive, etc.) of a computer and be able to assemble/troubleshoot a computer to the component level. Intermediate electronic test equipment knowledge such as a digital multimeter and an oscilloscope. Understanding of drawings, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and specifications preferred.

Duties:

Duties will include environmental qualification testing and test set build-up of PM ASE components, for example the APR-39, PDUs, and HULK test sets. Cable design and building for various systems and labs within the ECA Division to include specialty cables for the MHUTS and Fielded Test Sets (FTS). Support development, build-up, fielding, and maintenance of MHUTS. Duties may include support of missile modification, launcher modification, cable fabrication for various projects, and general MHUTS support.
