Type: Full-Time Job Location: CONUS Position Description: We are searching for an Engineering Technician to support USASMDC Systems Engineering Directorate (SED) DESIL lab. The engineering technician will support DESIL through operation and troubleshooting of lab equipment, as well as spearheading hardware/software logistics and maintenance efforts.

Required Qualifications Supporting instrumentation optics including align, clean, and handling. Support troubleshooting sensors and electronic components as well as sub-systems for failure or functionality. Supports operations including but not limited to maintaining sensors for laser systems and supporting hardware. Has experience in fabrication of network cables as well as termination of various cables. Has basic networking knowledge to support troubleshooting of systems, and sub-systems. Can support conduct electrical and/or mechanical system technical work to include requirements baseline, document system risks and mitigation strategies. Support defining schedules, assign and execute tasks, and monitor the completion to lead the monitoring of integration and checkout activities. Has experience in planning and leading logistics of hardware/software systems Support acquiring new hardware/software and managing/performing preventative maintenance on systems and maintaining records Support defining schedules, assign and execute tasks, and monitor the completion to lead the monitoring of integration and checkout activities. Support the Systems Engineering Director and division chiefs with administrative tasks related to general operations of the organization. Required Skills Must have the ability to develop, maintain, and identify improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirement management processes, tools, risk issues, and opportunity management processes. Has basic data acquisition knowledge. Has knowledge of laser safety. Has Defense system test experience in lab or range environments. Has experience in cleanroom operations and requirements. Basic coding ability preferred Must be able to lift 20 lbs.

Associate or Bachelors Degree
Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance
