Position Description:

CGI is seeking an Engineer in support of the Software Missile Branch of the Software Division of the Engineering Directorate, Strategic and Operational Rockets and Missiles (STORM) Project Office. The position requires an energetic professional with a strong software engineering background, previous software management experience, strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills. Performs studies, analysis, or evaluations of DoD weapon systems/equipment. This position does not involve the development of software but provides oversite and management in the acquisition process of a software product.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• The support of the acquisition process for munition related products for STORM launchers.

• Leverages knowledge of software development process and systems process, use of Microsoft Project in the assessment of developed software schedules and the review of subsequent documentation

• Oversite and management of integration testing with STORM launchers, apply risk management tools to assess development and performance risks

• Support to Budget Analysts in cost determinations for tactical software projects

• Support all levels of staff including peers, team members, management, and customer.

• Support test team and fielding team members on a technical basis to ensure that they provide correct solution to the operational users.

• Responsible for tracking and reporting software deficiencies identified by operational users according to the projects processes and procedures.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelors’ and 10 years of experience is required.

• Understand and apply the Software Development Lifecycle and the acquisitions lifecycle to include Agile methodology

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others

• Must be a self-starter which requires minimal supervision.

• Must be able and willing to travel, to include international travel

• Requires a valid US tourist passport

• Must possess an active Secret clearance

Capability to communicate and develop briefing products in MS Office Suite of programs

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $50,000 to $119,500.
