Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Desktop Support Analyst in Huntsville, Alabama! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading workstations, providing end-user training, and documenting inventories. You will also be involved in supporting various hardware and software applications and utilizing ServiceNow platform for tracking service calls and support requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure, maintain and upgrade workstations, peripherals, and laptops according to specific standards.

  • Provide end-user training on the use of PC workstations, applications, and the networking environment.

  • Maintain and document workstation and other device inventories, including the use of change management tools for adding, moving, or removing PC and Network devices.

  • Utilize the ServiceNow platform to document and track all service calls and support requests, including incident resolution.

  • Support all local PC and hardware including, but not limited to, desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, and peripherals.

  • Manage support requests related to Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Office suite, OneDrive, and mobile devices (Android and Apple).

  • Support shop floor CNC machines and other applications and software as required.

  • Ensure the ability to walk up and down steps multiple times a day, including through a large shop floor environment multiple times a day.

  • Exhibit proficiency with troubleshooting concepts; PC workstations (laptops and desktops), Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office products, antivirus software, networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, and network printing, data backup/recovery concepts, and electronic software delivery methods.

  • Demonstrate general knowledge on network servers, Citrix, and WAN technological concepts.

  • Display excellent oral and written communication skills, customer interface skills, problem-solving abilities, innovative resolution ability, and the ability to be a highly effective team member.

    Requirements

  • Proficiency in ServiceNow Platform and ServiceNow Modules

  • Demonstrable experience with MS Office 365, Microsoft 365 Enterprise, and O 365

  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software and hardware issues

  • Familiarity with desktop operating systems, applications, and network systems

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure

  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with staff and clients

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently

  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and experience in an ITIL environment would be advantageous

  • Experience in a customer service role or user-facing role would be beneficial

  • Must be able to understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
