Alamo Group Inc. Part Sales Specialist in Huntsville, Alabama

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, provides customer service, marketing and support to sales customers, part sales team, shipping, warranty service and inventory control by providing efficient, courteous service and accurate information regarding parts orders, invoicing, shipping, and problem solving. Schedules shipping and tracks orders, invoicing, credit, and customer problems

Essential Functions of the Job:

Maintains good customer relations with end users, answers phones, takes parts orders and responds to customer/end-user inquiries regarding pricing and availability in a courteous and timely manner. Maintains invoices, customer charges, and orders as directed.

Obtains payment on orders as required and processes credit card transactions.

Follows up with customers on backorders. And is proactive in sales calls to customers.

Prepares parts quotes both domestic and international.

Assists with Australia order entry and follow-up.

Assists customers with troubleshooting problems, complaints, and keeps them informed of sales and pricing.

Works with warranty and technical support and engineering on equipment issues on behalf of customers.

Assists part sales and marketing as directed. Works closely with equipment sales personnel, accounting, shipping, and data entry departments.

Works with purchasing group to obtain pricing and availability on customer requested special order items.

Assists with dispositioning of obsolete items, pull off items, damaged and excess inventory.

Handles customer parts returns.

Processes in house customer repairs including all paperwork and invoicing.

Generates monthly reports compiling sales analysis.

Fill-in for other daily administrative tasks such as backup – credit returns, commercial invoices for export orders, freight audits, and more.

Helps to maintain item set up for Eparts shop-Comprehensive data management and updates, etc.

Captures parts photos and uploads images to Eparts shop

Coordinates and maintains parts displays in department and for trade shows

Assists with ideas for marketing tools and advertisements and printed media concepts.

Assists with other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):

Good computer skills required including familiarity with spreadsheets and data entry.

Excellent effective communication skills required, both verbal and written.

Good math skills, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented.

Able to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Able to plan, organize and prioritize work. Able to reason and use good judgement.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED certificate required.

Previous customer relations/sales experience required, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial sales and/or marketing environment.
