Jacobs ESSCA Group CCP Engine Systems Engineer #ADV0008GK in Huntsville, Alabama

As a key member of the Commercial Crew Engine Systems team, primary duties for this role will include:

Coordinate, develop, and present technical materials related to engine system performance, testing, and integration to support board reviews and anomaly investigations.

Develop and execute scripts to support data reviews of vehicle integration and performance.

Attend technical interchange, project planning, design reviews, and other appropriate meetings to maintain a current knowledge base of design, requirements, issues, action items, and resolution activities. Identify issues, pursue resolutions, and provide supporting analyses. Complete assigned action items. Develop requirements and implement risk management processes.

Prepare trade study reports and technical assessments in areas of liquid propulsions system/subsystem performance.

Translate higher level requirements into lower level functional requirements and design options.

Participate in relevant trade teams. Identify and pursue resolution of issues. Identify and document customer objectives and product requirements.

Coordinate, develop, and present technical materials related to engine system performance and testing in support of milestone reviews and anomaly investigations.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

A degree in Aerospace engineering or related field is required. A degree from an ABET-accredited university is preferred. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a minimum of an MS with at least 3 years of experience, or BS with at least 5 years of experience.

Qualifications include:

Experience with an emphasis in pump-fed, liquid engine design, analysis, integration and/or development/verification testing is desired.

Integration experience at the vehicle or stage level to include technical and systems engineering activities. Especially, interface integration with engine system or launch/test facility.

Exhibited capability to plan and perform systems engineering and analysis tasks independently and as a team.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Power-Point, Excel, and Word is required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
