COLSA Corporation AvMC EITSS MECM/SCCM Administrator, Junior in Huntsville, Alabama

COLSA is seeking an experienced Windows System Administrator to serve as a member of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation & Missile Center (AvMC) Windows Remediation Team. The team is a dedicated organization whose primary responsibilities will involve the continuous improvement of the cybersecurity compliance through the use of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), formerly System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) on Windows computing systems. The candidate should have strong experience with Windows system administration to include experience troubleshooting operating system and software installation failures through the use of Windows Registry, Eventlog, and experience with automated patch management and deployment products.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

· Troubleshoot failed MCEM/SCCM deployments within the enterprise and find root cause of failure and assist team members with testing improved deployment packages and scripts.

· Review and analyze MCEM/SCCM logs.

· Review and analyze Windows Eventlogs and Registry settings.

· Review ACAS vulnerability findings and strategically deploy operating system and software patches that previously failed as part of the overall AvMC vulnerability remediation efforts.

· Ability to work as part of a team and interact well with others

· Develop or assist with the development of MCEM/SCCM deployment packages and scripts.

· Support the day-to-day technical operations of the AvMC CIO/G6. Non-routine after hours support may be required (24x7) to support network maintenance, emergency operations, or unique mission requirements.

· The candidate should have experience with automated operating system and software deployment products or technologies like MCEM/SCCM or Tychon, software distribution, OS deployments and the experience to troubleshoot failed tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in related field

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

  • Active Security+CE certification

  • U.S. Citizenship required; Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance

  • Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2019 or newer system administration experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active DoD clearance

  • Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), formerly System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), or Tychon Endpoint Management System experience.

  • Knowledge and experience with PowerShell scripting languages for automation.

  • Experience using advanced Windows troubleshooting skills within an enterprise environment.

  • Understanding of application performance concepts, Windows operating systems, and network infrastructure concepts.
