ASRC Federal Holding Company Associate Systems Engineer (Safety/HSI) in Huntsville, Alabama

ASRC Federal Agile Decision Sciences is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems.

We are seeking highly motivated Systems Engineers to support the development and sustainment of the U.S. Missile Defense Agency Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) anti-ballistic missile system project in Huntsville, AL. This position requires on-site work to be performed in Huntsville, AL. There are no remote work options.

As a member of the GMD Weapon System (GWS) Architecture and Deliver (A&D) Support Services Safety team, you will be an individual contributor supporting the development and qualification of missile defense system hardware and software by assisting with analyzing and recommending safety criteria in system design, equipment, and procedures to control or eliminate hazards. You may support various hazard analyses for systems and sub-systems, software system safety assessments, and hazardous material management planning and execution. You may support the development of formal and deliverable documentation that relative to safety assessments performed to meet customer needs and address major milestone entrance/exit criteria.

Requirements :

  • Active Secret Clearance and U.S. Citizenship.

  • 0-2 years-experience with Bachelor’s Degree in related STEM field

  • Recent experience, or degree , in a Systems Engineering

  • Understanding of an Agile development environment

  • Ability and willingness to interact with other team members, teams, products, and customers

  • Demonstratable, and excellent, written and oral skills

  • Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with requirements review, decomposition and certification.

  • Experience with on an MDA weapons systems

  • Experience creating briefings and charts

  • Experience with DOORS

  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-882E, MIL-STD-1472G
