Position Overview

NAVISTAR is seeking entry level and experienced Assemblers to join our growing team. In this position, you will fabricate and assemble parts, pieces, and products using an array of tools and equipment. Emphasis on quality, a dedication to performing work accurately, and a keen attention to detail are a must.

Air-Conditioned Facility, INCLUDING Manufacturing Floor!

Schedule: Monday – Thursday 1st or 2nd Shift, Must Be Available for Both

Benefits start DAY ONE!

Starting Pay: $20.25 per hour, plus Shift Differential for 2nd Shift.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Obtain incoming component and assemble to products per the process instructions and perform all applicable gauge verifications

  • Perform any and all duties as required to maintain quality and productivity

  • Replace or assist others on jobs as required to meet uptime objectives

  • Be an active participant of the work group and business team

  • Strive for continual improvement and focus on the process

  • Instruct, assist, and direct others as required

  • Ensure compliance with process instructions, Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Control Plans and notify group leader of any deviation

  • Accept accountability for achieving goals and planning strategies

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

  • Physical Requirements (Ability to do the following up to 10 hours per shift):

  • Walk, stand, sit, bend, twist/turn, kneel, squat, crawl

  • Climb using both legs and arms

  • Head/neck movement

  • Reach outward or above the shoulder

  • Lift, carry, push, or pull 15-45 pounds

  • Repetitive use of hands and fingers

  • Use of vibrating tools

  • Exposure to constant and intermittent noise, fumes, smoke and gases, solvents, paint, grease and oils, radiant energy, and slippery surfaces

  • Must be willing to work any shift

Desired Skills

  • Positive attitude, ethics and Navistar values which support our company’s values, and a healthy, high performance culture

  • At least two years of prior manufacturing experience

  • At least six months’ experience interpreting assembly build instructions

  • Customer focus and drive for results
