In anticipation of the contract award, we are seeking System Administrators who will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Agency Information Management and Software Services (AIMSS) mission by providing full-scope information technology (IT) support to classified and unclassified systems, applications, and networks in a complex hybrid multi-cloud environment.

You will install new or rebuild existing servers both physical and virtual, and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage through Agile methodologies. You will perform day-to-day maintenance, patching and ensuring STIG compliance by monitoring, testing performance, troubleshooting OS, resolving hardware and software problems, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with other engineers on network / system optimization. You will demonstrate understanding of how software behaves in order to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot systems. You will research new technologies and leverage optimization techniques to ensure that systems operate efficiently. You will utilize your experience with transitioning on-premise applications and software to the government hybrid-cloud solution and maintaining DoD-approved cloud service providers to provide information technology services and capabilities to include high performance computing, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Data as a Service (DaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) Cloud Service Offerings (CSOs). IA certification IAW DoD Instruction 8570.01M required.

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in engineering, science, or other relevant field

  • Must have an in-scope DoD Security Clearance

  • Willing to periodically travel in support of test events

  • Windows and Linux system administration experience

  • Ability to provide on-site support at MDA facilities

  • DoD Instruction 8570.01M IA certification

    Desired

  • Experience supporting the US Ballistic Missile Defense System

  • Experience handling classified data

  • SQL Server / SQL Server as a Service experience

  • AWS, Azure, VMWare experience

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker

  • Hands-on experience with IaC technologies including CloudFormation, Azure Resource Management templates, Terraform, etc

  • Experience installing and using various CI/CD tools
