In anticipation of the contract award, we are seeking Software Engineers who will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Agency Information Management and Software Services (AIMSS) mission by serving as a management and/or technical subject matter expert (SME) leading, designing, developing, and optimizing data-driven software solutions and applications.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, testing, verifying, sustaining, and fully documenting developed software. You will develop complex software applications involving graphical front-end interfaces, visualization toolsets, SQL Database interfaces, multi-user GUI interfaces, and rule-based assessments. You will work with application Product Owners to decompose Use Case entities into implemental software requirements. You will perform software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software reviews, software risk analysis, and software reliability analysis. You will perform analysis on new software developments and revisions to existing systems to enhance system efficiencies. Responsible for software testing and user/system requirements verification/validation processes and procedures. Your will troubleshoot production problems related to deployment of software applications. You will evaluate implemented requirements in software to determine if these requirements were met in deliverable software. You will assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application integration and testing tools. You will participate in development of software user manuals and technical reports. You will work with project leads, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business requirements. Furthermore, you will learn and understand MDA test processes related to data management, scheduling, planning, and commitments across all types of tests.

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in engineering, science, or other relevant field

  • Must have an in-scope DoD Security Clearance

  • Experience in Full Lifecycle Agile Software Development Solutions

  • Willing to periodically travel in support of test events

  • Ability to provide on-site support at MDA facilities

Desired

  • Experience supporting the US Ballistic Missile Defense System

  • Experience handling classified data

  • SQL Server / SQL Server as a Service experience

  • AWS, Azure, VMWare experience

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker

  • Hands-on experience with IaC technologies including CloudFormation, Azure Resource Management templates, Terraform, etc

  • Experience using various CI/CD tools
