Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Field and office work associated with surface and subsurface geotechnical, geological, and geohazard site investigation and characterization; Development, installation, and management of instrumentation monitoring systems; Supporting other diverse project opportunities including work in the fields of environmental, geotechnical, stormwater, and sediments. Use of remote sensing data for geohazard identification, characterization, and monitoring; Mapping and management of geologic/geohazard data in ArcGIS databases; Report writing and figure preparation; Assisting in the development of proposals and other business development activities: and Based on your current level of experience, you may be asked to take on task-level or project management responsibilities, along with business development, and Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety, first aid, CPR training, and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants. Education and Licensure

Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering. (required) Advanced degree in the same. (preferred) Professional registration (i.e., P.E. P.G.). (preferred)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

At least 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required) Strong fundamentals in geology or geotechnical engineering theory and practice. (required) Strong verbal and written communication skills. (required) Knowledge of applied software (e.g., gINT, ArcGIS, etc.) and/or numerical methods using spreadsheets. (preferred) Ability and willingness to perform fieldwork and travel. (required) Ability to regularly lift and/or move 30 to 49 pounds unaided and 50-100 pounds with assistance. (required) Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred) Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
