Insight Global Solar Technician 3 in Huntington Beach, California

Job Description

Insight Global's renewable energy client is looking for a Solar Tech III to join their team in Los Angeles County, California. The tech will have at least 5 years of experience with distributed generation scale solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant experience. They will be responsible for corrective maintenance and operation of assigned solar projects to ensure optimal generation performance of the company's solar photovoltaic plant portfolio. Overall responsibilities will include routine maintenance on solar equipment, provide oversight for complex work and maintain records of completed tasks and equipment status with minimal help and supervision. The tech will work closely with the Operations team to safely achieve all solar performance goals. This position will cover projects from Bakersfield to San Diego and a company service truck and standard industry tools will be provided.

Skills and Requirements

-5+ years of experience as a Solar Technician (solar facility maintenance/repair or electrician) (not from utilities or installation)

-Prior work experience with SCADA and DAS (Data Acquisition System)

-Hands on Experience in solar construction, operation, and management

-Technical understanding of solar generation and energy storage

-The following certifications: OSHA 30, NABCEP PV Installer or Commissioning & Maintenance Specialist, and NFPA 70E Certificate

-AAS degree in electrical technology or equivalent

-Valid driver's license -CPR certified null
