Element has an opportunity for a Chemistry Technician - 2nd Shift for testing, sample preparation and delivery/collection of samples and preparation of test reports. $21.00 - $26.00 Responsibilities

  • Manual handling and preparing samples for analysis by methods of cutting, drilling, grinding, and polishing
  • Ensures lab safety and proper protective equipment (PPE) usage
  • Read, understand, and carry out tasks based on standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Reading POs and specifications to determine testing requirements
  • General maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Handling and disposing of chemical waste per the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
  • Interaction with clients during witnessed testing
  • Willing to assist in other activities from time to time that may be requested by the department manager and supervisor to assist in the execution of Element Material Technology annual targets and budget
  • Ensuring compliance to all Element Material Technology quality standards

Skills / Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Can work with team under pressure and flexible to work extended hours and/or weekends if required or necessary to achieve department goals.
  • Possesses personal integrity, disciplined work ethic, organization skills, and motivation to work with a sense of urgency
  • Good communication skills: reading, writing, speaking
  • Basic math skills
  • Knowledge and experience of safe operation of testing equipment and operating in a chemistry laboratory environment
