The Boeing Defense, Space and Security, Phantom Works division is seeking a Logistics Engineer in Huntington Beach, CA.

This role will require an individual contributor to provide logistical analysis and support to Boeing’s Orca (XLUUV) program and other programs as needed in a variety of logistics roles with focus on Logistics Support Analysis data and provisioning. Support Depot operations, supply and support tracking, failure analysis, life cycle management, technical documentations, Level of Repair Analysis, and logistics/maintenance planning. Specific responsibilities include populating the LSA database with technical information and producing reports for a series of contract deliverables. The Logistics Analyst will participate in provisioning conferences, interface with customers to include phone and e-mail inquiries on multiple logistics topics and provide updates to the logistics schedule. Occasional travel may be required (up to 10%).

Position Responsibilities

  • Evaluates engineering data for supportability for all major equipment systems or platforms for multiple customers

  • Identifies alternatives to obsolescence issues

  • Establishes and sustains data elements associated with the logistics support analysis record. Evaluates engineering data and documentation to identify supportability requirement gaps and initiates resolution

  • Leads the development of all publication elements

  • Establishes technical requirements to determine project scope and deliverables

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Huntington Beach, CA.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Experience gathering, preparing and analyzing technical data for the development of support products including logistics engineering, logistics support analysis, technical publications, support equipment, spares, provisioning, field services, maintenance, etc., supporting product life cycle

  • 1+ years of experience with Logistics Support Analysis Database (GEIA-STD-007 or equivalent)

  • Solid MS Office skills - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Understands how to read and interpret engineering drawings and parts lists

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Experience working directly with the U.S. Navy

  • Solid understanding of the MIL-STD-1388 and GEIA-STD-007 standards and formats, including data items and definitions

Typical Education & Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).
