We are currently looking to hire a Roadway Programs Technician 1. As part of this role, you will be responsible for various tasks related to roadway programs. From conducting inspections to analyzing data, your contributions will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our transportation systems. DESCRIPTION OF WORK You will play a crucial role in supporting the Roadway Program Coordinator and Assistant County Maintenance Managers by providing technical services, managing the supply of materials, and carrying out various other tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the organization. Among the key responsibilities that will fall under your purview include overseeing the invoice reconciliation process, handling bill payments, reconciling and organizing invoices, processing payments and fund commitments, as well as recording direct expenditures accurately. Additionally, you will be tasked with conducting research and furnishing a range of information to external customers who have inquiries related to accounts and billing, thereby ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction. Furthermore, part of your duties will involve maintaining a detailed spreadsheet that tracks monthly costs for utilities and processed expenditures, which will be instrumental in facilitating the preparation of the overall county budget. You will also be expected to provide coordination support for external agreements, such as winter municipal agreements, mowing and sweeping contracts, and more, in order to ensure that all agreements are executed smoothly and efficiently. Lastly, you will be responsible for preparing specification packets and submitting them to the District Fiscal Office, which will require a high level of attention to detail and accuracy to ensure compliance with all necessary guidelines and regulations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Travel, overtime and shift work required.  Work hours subject to change based on seasonal requirements and operational needs. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. One year of experience as a Technical Assistant; or One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment and graduation from high school or GED equivalent; or An associate degree in a field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
