American Legion Frank P. Hommon Post 24 Part-Time Bartender in HUNTINGDON, Pennsylvania

The Huntingdon American Legion is looking to bring an energetic and enthusiastic individual on board for a part-time bartening position.

Job Duties included but are not limited to:

The bartender serves customers wine, liquor, bottled and draft beer, and other beverages.Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, bitters, etc to prepare cocktails and other drinks.Serves snacks, food items, gaming tickets, etc. to customers seated at the bar.Collects money for drinks served and deposits funds in cash registers.Balances cash receipts from all systems as required by Club managers.The bartender checks identification of customers to verify membership and age requirements.Assures guests are registered in appropriate book.Maintains a clean bar, cleans glasses mugs utensils and bar equipment.He/she is required to be reliable, responsible, dependable, honest and ethical.He/she fills out reports of adverse situations in detail as required by management

Customer Service

The bartender provides a positive attitude and friendly atmosphere to the customers.He/she will be cheerful and try to use members' names when addressing them.Responsible for recognizing excessive drinking or unwanted behavior/language and dealing effectively with that customer and stop serving them in a professional manner.He/she will dress appropriately for the season and maintain excellent hygiene.

Physical Demands

The bartender will be expected to stand for long periods of time and perform moderate lifting more than 50 pounds.Position requires the bartender to be constantly walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and handling materials over time without fatiguing or "giving out".
