Job Title: Club Manager - Frank P. Hommon American Legion Post 24

The Frank P. Hommon American Legion Post 24 is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as the Club Manager. We are a prestigious organization that prides itself on supporting veterans and their families, along with serving the local community.

As the Club Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our club. You will report directly to the Board of Directors and work closely with the club staff and volunteers to ensure the success of all club activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies and plans to increase revenue and profitability of the club.

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, food and beverage costs, and overall budget to ensure financial goals are met.

  • Hire, train, and schedule staff to maintain a high level of service and hospitality for club members and guests.

  • Oversee all aspects of the bar  operations, including ordering supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and regulations.

  • Plan and execute special events and activities, such as live music nights, game nights, and fundraisers, to enhance the member experience and attract new patrons.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment for club members, guests, and staff, while enforcing club policies and addressing any issues or concerns that arise.

  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to create and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain club members.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, membership data, and other club-related information.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in a managerial role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a bar or restaurant setting.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

  • Excellent financial management skills, with a proven track record of meeting budget goals.

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Quickbooks and have experience with point-of-sale systems.

  • Knowledge of liquor laws, Small Games of Chance, food safety regulations, and health codes.

  • Passion for supporting veterans and their families, and a strong understanding of the American Legion's mission.
