We are currently seeking to fill the following position for ourCharlottelocation.

Proposal Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated, well organized, team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. High degree of ownership, and desire to make those around you better.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following is a summary of the Primary Job Responsibilities.

  • Analyze RFI, RFQ, RFPs and other bid documents for project requirements.

  • Apply experience and best practices in proposal team management to ensure the timely delivery of proposal submissions that are fully compliant with solicitation instructions.

  • Effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and KTC personnel when developing proposals.

  • Provide insight, leadership, and work guidance to staff on all proposal content.

  • Obtain and develop materials pricing, hours, lead-time, delivery, and payment terms for proposals.

  • Draft and edit proposal document to send to customer.

  • Support sales team to develop new customers.

  • Transfer proposal information into KTC business system for project creation.

  • Lead proposal review meetings with management and sales staff.

  • Direct and integrate efforts of engineering staff and proposals staff working on proposals.

  • Prepare and lead Proposal Kickoff meetings with Project team.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of various manufacturing/fabrication processes.

  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize multiple concurrent proposals of varying complexity.

  • Excellent technical writing skills.

  • Must be able to read and understand part fabrication drawings and other technical specifications provided by customers.

  • Must be able to estimate engineering design hours, assembly labor hours, and part costs.

  • Must be able to collaborate with multi-disciplinary stakeholders to meet tight deadlines.

  • Possess excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Occasional travel is required, approximately 5-10%. Must be able to travel to domestic and international sites as needed.

  • Proven experience in proposals management, preferably in a field related to Machinery/Equipment Design and Fabrication.

    EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, similar relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
