Conagra Mechanical Specialist in Humboldt, Tennessee

Shift: This role is 2nd Shift, 4:00 PM-12:00 AM

Hourly Rate: $26.89 an hour

Conagra Brands – Humboldt is looking to add to our team to help us meet the demands of our customers. You will work onsite at the Humboldt, TN manufacturing plant on Central Avenue as a Mechanical Specialist with a starting rate of $26.89 per hour.

A Day in the Life of a Mechanical Specialist:

As a mechanical specialist, you will perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and installations, of line equipment and machinery, fabricate and modify parts following blue prints, drawings, plans and schematics for multiple types of production equipment according to a set schedule and in emergency and non-emergency situations. All work must follow strict Quality and Food Safety Standards.

You Will:

  • Review the work schedule, check equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled.

  • Set-up and teardown production equipment, perform changeovers and overhauls.

  • Troubleshoot and repair production tools and production equipment, conveyors, lifts, palletizers, and motors.

  • Perform basic welding and machining tasks, as well as, read blueprints, drawing and plans, maintain SAP.

  • Build, sharpen, repair or modify parts to work order specifications, using lathes, surface grinders, mills, honing equipment, in accordance to work order specifications.

  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and special projects as assigned.

  • Perform repairs, replacements, adjustments, modifications to equipment, machinery, wiring, and piping.

  • Secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping, and complete and maintain work records.

  • Respond to help calls from Production Department

  • First Responder/CPR

  • Perform start-up/shut-down procedures for Seamers, Chillers, Boilers

  • Wastewater (sampling, usage records, PMS, PH calibration, required cleaning, sludge tank maintenance)

  • Provide production line support when needed

You Have:

  • High School diploma or proof of GED.

  • Industrial maintenance experience or education in a mechanical field

  • Production floor maintenance and/or mechanical skills

  • A combination of experience and education will be considered
