CRAG ENERGY SERVICES LLC Welder in Houston, Texas

Crag Energy Services is currently searching for a Welder in Houston, TX. Welder will support manufacturing operations by performing work involving a high degree of precision and the use of hand welding equipment and proficiency in welding processes for both structural and process pipe applications In the role of a Welder, you will:

  • Use templates, jigs, blueprints and/or other guides to repair, modify and/or fabricate repairs.
  • Operate hand tools to cut, drill, bore, tap, ream, shape, grind,
  • Ensure work is accomplished safely and care is exercised to avoid damage to tools and/or equipment.
  • Manage metals to prevent distortion or metal burns, to meet dimensions, tolerances, strengths, and/or other requirements.
  • Perform exceptionally high degree of skill so that welds pass very high standards of radiographic, ultrasound, magnetic particle imaging, and other testing procedures as deemed necessary by engineers
  • Set-up, troubleshoot and operate welding machines according to job specifications and welding procedures
  • Preheat and weld metal components as specified by blueprints, welding symbols, job specifications, or welding procedures.
  • Operate air arc gouger, grinder, stress relieving machine, and other industry machines, tools, and equipment
  • Make welding repairs and substandard welds
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED from accredited school or institution
  • Minimum 1 year of welding experience in a manufacturing environment customer-focused in defining quality and establishing priorities

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Lift up to 45 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Work in a manufacturing environment where noise, dust are present
  • Use safety glasses, safety shoes, and ear plugs
  • Perform sedentary work with frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending, and other physical activities
  • Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload
  • Ability and willingness to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Desired Characteristics

  • Experience operating a forklift, hand truck, and other equipment specific to duties.
