Job Summary:

The Training and Development Manager II (TDM II) is responsible for implementing training and learning initiatives supporting the development of the region’s field workforce in the short and long run. Manages employees’ learning, competency, and qualification progress and ensures employees maintain the required skills that meet or exceed FieldCore and local industry standards, as well as maintain accurate certification records to execute field activities according to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) priorities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Resource Directors and Resource Managers to identify regional skillset gaps and develop regional training and development plans for field employees

  • Understand and manage a regional competency profile to address both short-term and long-term workforce needs in partnership with resources team to support regional execution with SQDC

  • Execute regional training plan within schedule and budget or better

  • Articulate and advise regional teams on the options and/or needs for qualification for the different field populations of employees, from entry to advanced levels

  • Articulate and advise regional teams on the methods to obtain qualifications and competencies, from classroom to on-the-job training

  • Articulate and advise regional teams on training and developments opportunities that lead to increased field workforce utilization

  • Consider employee’s professional progress and career path are part of the analysis when selecting training opportunities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the field employees about their training and development

  • Act as primary point of contact from the global training team into the region supported by the TDM

  • Articulate regional feedback or requests for improvements needed from the global training organization.

  • Develop wing to wing road maps (hiring, on-boarding, training, competencies, and OJT plans) for employees to ensure successful, timely and on budget program completion

  • Work with a lean mindset supporting continuous improvement and productivity

  • Work with regional team to provide accurate training demand as input to produce reliable Operational Plan for the following budget cycle

  • Validate and drive training and learning programs’ needs to ensure specific legislative and site outage requirements are maintained

  • Provide the Region with reports and analytics to ensure resources meet the various regional, country, and site-specific requirements

  • Solution with sourcing for third party training providers that can support specific legislative requirements

  • Manage the training and learning programs’ seat allocation and OJT plans of field employees to ensure the best quality placement of candidates

  • Report and track training and learning programs’ certification dates and manage re-certification process

  • Provide periodic reports to senior management which depict the current qualification status of all field employees as required

  • Collaborate with Resource Management and Human Resources on retention initiatives as required

  • Actively participate in performance review and talent development cycles

  • Provide regional team with feedback about employee’s performance and conduct during training

  • Provide regional team with feedback about employees acting as mentors or instructor’s performance and conduct during training as applicable

  • Maintain final accountability for the execution of all internal and external training that is required of the region for Field Employees

  • This role may or may not include people leadership, i.e., management of direct reports

  • Travel may be required

  • You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.

Required Qualifications & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, learning/training/organizational development, Instructional Technology, Communications, Instructional Design, Adult Education, or related degree

  • 8+ years professional experience

  • Innovative thinking while delivering tactically in an evolving global and digital environment

  • Ability to perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time sensitive deadlines. Ability to deliver results and actions in a fast-changing environment

  • Strong collaboration interpersonal, facilitation, and influencing skills across geographies, levels, and functions. Strong interpersonal skills to be an accessible relatable support to a large remote team

  • English proficiency required.

Desired Characteristics:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a recruitment, training/learning programs or resource management role preferred

  • Experience in learning operation processes

  • Project management skills

  • Demonstrated proactivity and problem solving

  • Good communication skills at various levels of the organization

  • Customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to perform data analytics

  • Proficient is MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Compensation and Benefits:

The annual salary range for this position is $86,900 to $143,300. This is an exempt from overtime position. FieldCore benefits include insurance (medical, dental, vision, disability, and life), retirement savings, health and Wellness reimbursement, and a bonus or incentive program. Eligibility for FieldCore benefits is determined under the terms of the applicable benefits plan.
