Aerotek Trailer Mechanic in Houston, Texas
Aerotek is seeking a Trailer Mechanic:
Job Description:
Repairs will consist of preventative maintenance, changing brakes, tires, lights, ABS system troubleshooting and repair, mud flaps, and DOT inspections, electrical diagnosing, engine repair both external and internal and minor welding repairs. As well, candidate may be responsible for doing work "off the line" which could be paperwork or administrative duties. Candidates need to be comfortable working with automated computer system. Candidate may need to drive from time to time to pick up parts etc. Trailers they work on are They work on RGN, Low Boys, Detachable, flat beds and step decks. Removable gooseneck trailers new van trailers, heavy haul trailers are the main trailers this candidate will be working on.
Requirements:
5 years experience working on trailers, trucks, small motors and performing PM's
Experience with Air brakes, air suspensions, ABS (anti-lock braking systems), hydraulics, tires
Valid license
Small engine experience is a plus
3-5 years of welding experience
Must be open to travel for training
1st shift - must be open to OT.
