Sulzer Pumps US Inc. Testing and Analysis Lead in Houston, Texas

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Travels to customer sites to conduct field testing and troubleshooting.

  • Assembles reports from data collected at site visits for customer distribution.

  • Manages equipment inventory, maintenance, calibration and shipment to sites.

  • Works with Field Services manager when needed for personnel resources when routine tests are to be conducted.

  • Creates template forms for consistent report formatting to customers

  • Works with Field Engineering and Service Centers to assist in troubleshooting and warranty cost reduction.

  • Keeps current on latest technologies and process for analysis and data acquisition. Supports procurement of up-to-date technology to ensure Sulzer is a leading provider of on-site testing.

  • Assists in scheduling of site visits for self and other Sulzer assets.

  • Works with engineering group to assess results from data acquisition.

  • Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide LEAN and EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you bring to Sulzer:

  • Dotted line responsibility for field mechanics performing standard field testing

  • 10 years experience in vibration analysis

  • Experience in pump testing and troubleshooting

  • Strong ability in MS Office applications

  • Great written and oral communication skills.
