Description

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. Your primary responsibilities will be threat hunting, threat remediation, stopping threat vectors with a heavy focus on working with Fortigate firewalls, Fortianalyzer, and Fortimanager. You will play a crucial role in detecting and preventing breaches and ensuring our cyber security infrastructure runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct proactive threat hunting activities, leveraging intelligence and utilizing available tools to detect potential threats.

  2. Manage and oversee the remediation efforts for identified threats and vulnerabilities.

  3. Develop, implement, and monitor endpoint security measures to guard against unauthorized access, modifications, or destruction.

  4. Operate and administer Fortigate firewalls, Fortianalyzer, and Fortimanager to protect network infrastructure and oversee security baselines for all devices and software.

  5. Monitor network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity and take swift actions to mitigate threats.

  6. Design and implement security controls and develop operational procedures.

  7. Collaborate with the team on complex security incident investigations.

  8. Provide training and guidance to colleagues about information security standards, policies, and best practices.

    Requirements

Required Skills:

  1. Proven working experience as a Security Engineer.

  2. Hands-on experience with Fortigate Firewall, Fortianalyzer and Fortimanager is a must.

  3. Strong knowledge of threat hunting, threat remediation, and threat detection techniques.

  4. Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods.

  5. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  6. Strong understanding of network protocols and security-related technologies.

Education and Certifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  2. Security certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CEH are preferred.
