Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Houston, Texas. The selected candidate will be a part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment within the telecom industry. This role involves performing various accounting tasks including reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

• Maintaining and updating the general ledger on a regular basis.

• Preparing and posting journal entries as part of the month-end close process.

• Leveraging various software tools such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for efficient and accurate accounting.

• Performing cash reconciliations to ensure all financial data aligns.

• Ensuring all accounting tasks are performed in compliance with company policies and regulations.

• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports.

• Collaborating with other finance team members to support overall department goals and objectives.

• Participating in financial audits and implementing audit recommendations.

Requirements

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations and Cash Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Ability to conduct Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge of accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus
