Overview and Essential Functions

A successful Sr. Drafter shall design and manage the design data of telecommunications infrastructure and fiber optic networks and will work with project managers and other team members to plan and execute network design projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications network structure; deep understanding of communications engineering and related systems; ability to use a computer and other office related equipment; familiarity with telecommunications design software; ability to read, understand, interpret, and analyze data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (GIS, Geography, Urban Planning, Computer Science) or 7+ years’ related experience.

  • Proficient in the use of hardware and software (PCs, Tablets, IKE, ArcMap, Ocalc Pro, CAD, ArcGIS, Google, etc.)

  • Advanced proficiency in assigned function (Drafting, Designing, Make Ready, Geographic Information Systems, etc.)

  • Authorized to work in the United States.

  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.
