My client is looking to hire a motivated and experienced Senior Accountant as they build out their accounting operations here in Houston that will oversee their US Accounting Operations.

In this role, you will report directly to a very talented Corporate Controller who is looking for someone to help in developing processes, ensure deadlines are met and contribute to the overall success of the accounting department.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Manage the preparation of financial statements for the consolidated company and subsidiaries.

· Lead the month-end close process, taking ownership of all journal entries and month-end tasks.

· Develop and maintain accrual, depreciation, and debt schedules.

· Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.

· Ensure proper entries for intercompany consolidations, lease accounting, etc.

· Assist in building out accounting systems, controls, policies, and procedures.

· Contribute to the improvement of functionality in the new ERP system through report building.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems.

· Perform internal audits and support external audit processes.

· Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

· CPA certification preferred - parts passed ideally

· 4+ years of experience coming out of a Public Accounting firm, ideally BIG 4 or Regional CPA firm having worked with public/private filers.

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.

· MUST HAVE ERP systems experience.

· Excellent organizational and communication skills.

· Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Requirements • The applicant must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Senior Accountant or related field.

• Demonstrated proficiency in month-end close activities is essential.

• The applicant must have strong skills in financial reporting and consolidation processes.

• Proficiency in using NetSuite and Microsoft Excel is required.

• The candidate must be CPA eligible or hold a current CPA license.

• A university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.

• The candidate must have strong analytical and organizational skills.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.

• The applicant must be detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
