Conn's HomePlus Specialist, eCommerce Customer Account in Houston, Texas

Overview: The Customer Account Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships to meet sales goals. Duties may include identifying prospective customers, following up on potential sales leads, and closing sales.

Key Duties & Responsibilities: The Customer Account Specialist's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Retain customers by mining and growing accounts through solution-based selling and account management via the telephone.

  • Conduct outbound calls to customers to achieve sales goals.

  • Support the company's sales goals through the use of professional sales techniques and excellent customer service.

  • Monitor activity reports to identify customer needs and follow up

  • Develop customer relationships through regular customer contact via the telephone.

  • Drive both sales growth and account retention by introducing various products and services available through Conn's Home Plus

  • Document effectively and accurately customer conversations and contact information into our management system.

  • Overcome customer objections, issues, or concerns as necessary to solidify the sale.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalency

  • 1+ years of prior sales experience Preferred Experience

  • Associate's degree preferred

  • Outbound call center sales experience or retail sales experience preferred

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and tech-savvy with solid computer and business solutions software skills.

  • Ability to speak, read and write proficiently in English required. Ability to speak, read and write proficiently in Spanish is a plus.

  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to understand customer needs and overcome objection

  • Exceptional customer service and follow-up skills

  • Organized and detail-oriented

  • Able to multi-task and shift priorities, as required

  • Professional in appearance and manner

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work a full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays with overtime as needed.

  • Work is performed in a call center environment where calls and productivity levels are monitored.

  • May require prolonged periods of sitting/standing.

  • May require prolonged periods of wearing a headset to listen to calls.
