Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead and manage the pre-commissioning scope of work for our offshore pipelay projects. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our subsea projects by coordinating and overseeing pre-commissioning activities to meet industry standards and client requirements.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Pre-commissioning Strategy: Develop and implement pre-commissioning strategies and plans for offshore pipelay projects.

  • Scope Management: Oversee the entire pre-commissioning scope of work, ensuring all activities are properly planned, executed, and documented.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that pre-commissioning activities meet industry standards, project specifications, and client requirements.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the pre-commissioning phase and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, subsea installation teams, and clients to align pre-commissioning activities with project schedules.

  • Technical Expertise: Utilize your deep technical knowledge in subsea systems, pipelines, and offshore structures to drive efficient pre-commissioning processes.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation of pre-commissioning activities for client and regulatory compliance.

  • Safety: Promote and enforce safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all personnel involved in pre-commissioning activities.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization in the pre-commissioning phase.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in subsea pre-commissioning for offshore pipelay projects.

  • Proven experience in leadership and team management.

  • In-depth knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations related to subsea pre-commissioning.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions under pressure.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

  • Safety-conscious mindset with a track record of adhering to safety protocols.

  • Professional certifications relevant to subsea engineering and project management are a plus.

  • Should be fluent in written & spoken English, but having an understanding of Spanish & Portuguese will be advantageous.

  • Experience of working in USGoM, Mexico, Trinidad & Brazil will be a huge plus.
