EPAM Systems Senior Manager, Energy Business Consulting - Supply and Trading SME in Houston, Texas

As a Supply and Trading SME within our Energy Business Consulting practice, you will lead efforts to help clients improve their trading organizations and help leverage EPAM’s world-class software engineering and product development teams.

Expectations include leading or participating in client proposals, leading and integrating across project teams, and coordinating with EPAM’s Practices including Delivery, Product Development, and Business Consulting to create a fit-for-purpose solution for our client’s business challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Help identify and pursue EPAM supply and trading project and business development opportunities

  • Define, develop, and scope supply and trading-related proposals and projects

  • Drive the execution and cross-workstream integration of client-facing projects

  • Lead process improvement, requirements gathering, and business case development-related project efforts

  • Facilitate organization design and role-mapping activities to support process and organizational changes

  • In orchestration with EPAM’s technical SMEs, determine client technology needs

  • Manage own activities and work with team members to deliver desired business outcomes and ensure quality completion of deliverables

  • Establish positive relationships with clients and peers that build rapport, liaising and pulling through other relevant service offerings, amplifying EPAM's impact

  • Empower team members, mentors, and support career development efforts

  • Demonstrate executive presence and cross-team facilitation skills

  • Contribute to practice growth and development for EPAM through involvement with professional organizations, conference attendance, white papers, and any marketing activities aligning with EPAM’s goals

  • Understand deal profitability and risk exposure

Requirements

  • More than eight (8) years of relevant experience in an established consulting firm environment. A blend of consulting and industry is also acceptable. This experience must include leading supply and trading improvement initiatives and related business development efforts

  • More than four (4) years of providing subject matter expertise and leadership of supply and trading transformation programs

  • Viewed as an expert in Energy supply and trading; understands and speaks confidently; keeps current on trends within emerging technology, best practices, and policies, uses broad base of experience to advise clients on supply and trading best practices

  • Firm understanding of risk management

  • Knowledge of Agile and Design Thinking methodologies

  • Bachelor's degree. MBA or Master’s degree preferred
