Job Title: Dish Field Technician (Independent Contractor)

Job Type: 1099 Independent Contractor Dish Technician

Average Compensation: $500 - $1,500 per week with additional income opportunities

Sign on bonus: Up to $2,000 (paid in four equal payments over the first four months of being in the field)

Job Description:

We are seeking skilled and motivated satellite installers to join our team of Dish Field Technicians  in Houston, TX. As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for home installation, repair work for Dish services, and sales of smart home upgrades like home security, cameras, and smart doorbells. This is a hands-on role requiring technical proficiency, excellent customer service skills, sales experience, and the ability to work independently. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Satellite Installer performing 2 to 5 work orders a day

  • Repair Dish services in residential settings.

  • On site sales and installation of additional smart home upgrades like cameras, video doorbells, and Mesh Wifi Systems.

  • Ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.

  • Maintain accurate records of installations, service, and repairs.

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and company standards.

  • Provide all your own satellite installer tools (we offer a payroll deduction program if you need a signal meter)

  • You will be issued a tablet but you are required to have a smartphone with a data plan.

    Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Dish Field Technician or similar role. ViaSat Installer or DirecTV installers welcome!

  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Must own a truck or van capable of carrying a 28' ladder for service calls. (Folding ladder optional)

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screening as required.

  • Sales experience preferred. There are on site sales opportunities and expectations while you are working in the customers' home.
