Job Summary

The Repair Coordinator reports directly to the Service Center Manager.  Together they form a team that is responsible for all aspects of a service center order from its acceptance to its shipment from the factory.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare and revise quotation and any required documentation packages and project schedules.

  • Communicating & coordinating with various vendors and customers.

  • Assist Service Center Manager in their absence (vacation or sickness) in answering phone calls & e-mails to clients.

  • Assist Service Center Manager in placing purchase orders, creating routers, and issuing shop packages to shop.

  • Generate bills of materials, and drafting of other engineering/machine drawings as requested.

  • The Repair Coordinator will produce drawings from sketches and marked-up prints provided by the Project Manager.  They also must use their design skills at times to produce drawings without instruction.

  • Must have a general knowledge and be able to use measuring equipment such as inside/outside/depth micrometers, dial gauges, and various other measuring equipment 

         Knowledge

The Repair Coordinator position requires many skills.  It requires general application knowledge of API 610, familiar with general industry and manufacturing processes and thorough knowledge of the various products including vertical and horizontal pumps and repair procedures.  Good communication skills both written and oral are required.  Good people skills are required for inside sales contact with customers, salesmen, etc.

Above average computer skills are needed with Excel, and Word.

Experience

5 years pump repair or similar

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
