Atlas Oil Remittance Analyst in Houston, Texas

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide support to the Treasury and Collections departments by executing the company’s customer payment cycle processes including posting payments in a timely and accurate manner. The successful candidate will also perform post-billing QA checks and perform Tier 1 support to Customer Service for billing and account inquiries. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Posts lockbox and direct payments to customer accounts according to procedure,

  • Processes credit card payments according to procedure,

  • Identifies insufficient funds checks and processes according to procedure,

  • Identifies short pays and overpays and works with Director of Treasury to resolve according to procedure,

  • Receives all credit/debit memos and collaborates with customer service to resolve issues, finalize all credit/debit memos, and processes all approved memos,

  • Responds to Tier 1 customer inquiries regarding open invoices, prepayments and payments,

  • Maintains payment files (filing check copies and posting reports),

  • Performs post-billing detail quality control on invoices and statements prior to mail-out,

  • Supports Account Receivable Analysts with detailed research on customer issues,

  • Supports the Sr. Treasury Analyst in the periodic (e.g., monthly / quarterly) cash account reconciliations in compliance with the company’s balance sheet integrity practice,

  • Performs other related duties as assigned,

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree or two (2) years related experience and/or training in cash applications/remittance roles,

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate skill in Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP and other data mining functions),

  • Corporate collections and/or oil and gas collections experience preferred,

  • Ascend, MS Dynamics or similar ERP experience,

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Houston, TX. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday and range from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
