Our greatest asset has been, and will continue to be, our people.  We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Production Engineer in our US Onshore Resources & Carbon Management (ORCM), Delaware Resource Strategy Management group based in Houston, Texas.

We are seeking a proactive Production Engineer to spearhead our digital transformation initiatives in the Permian Delaware operations. As part of the ORCM Delaware Resource Strategy Management group, this role is integral to enhancing efficiency through the development and application of advanced machine learning models and digital tools.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of machine learning algorithms to optimize field operations.
  • Drive digitalization efforts, overseeing the development of surveillance tools and digital projects in alignment with our strategic goals.
  • Analyze operational data using advanced data analytics, identify patterns and improvement opportunities, and present findings through visualization tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning insights into daily operations, ensuring seamless digital transformation.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, with a minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in a role focused on optimizing production.
  • Proven experience in data analytics and management, with a strong background in utilizing large datasets to drive operational improvements.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and driving collaborative digital strategy execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and produce high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of finance, field production systems, and associated data flows. 
  • A history of reliability with a forward-thinking approach to business challenges.

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Direct experience with Delaware Basin operations or unconventional reservoir optimization.
  • Expertise in well surveillance, production enhancement, and familiarity with drilling, completion, and facilities operations.
  • Track record of employing database and programming skills to address operational challenges and drive efficiency.
